Biomass Heating Integration Workshop

Biomass Heating Integration Workshop

Biomass energy is a form of renewable energy, often conveniently located right near the community using the energy.  Facilities can experience heating cost reductions of 30% to up to 90% by shifting to renewable biomass energy. Successfully designing and implementing biomass heating projects is not difficult as long as you are aware of the unique requirements that a wood energy system demands.

The Alaska Energy Authority sponsored a technical Biomass Heating Integration Workshop featuring Professor Emeritus John "Siggy" Siegenthaler, P.E., a renowned biomass design professional with decades of system design, installation, and integration experience. This workshop was a resounding sucess and an excellent opportunity to join other Alaskan energy and engineering professionals in learning about the best practices of modern biomass heating system design and installation.
