The U.S. chairmanship of the Arctic Council will conclude with the passing of the torch to Finland during the "Week of the Arctic" from May 7, 2017 to May 12, 2107. The event will be open to the general public and our "Week of the Arctic" guests. These four hours of activities includes a Business Showcase, featuring locally-based businesses that specialize in the Arctic and Arctic-related products, children's activities, Alaska Native cultural events, a lecture on the Arctic, food trucks, music, and culminates in an "Arctic Crawl" featuring northern-themed adult beverages.
